Elaine Ng Yan Ling
Trained as a traditional weaver from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. As an experienced weaver, Elaine has been collaborating with The Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company Ltd to create a woven installation that is funded by Medical ResearchCouncil, United Kingdom. The Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company Ltd has been weaving fabrics of distinction for over a century. Based in Sudbury, Suffolk, England. Elaine is passionate working with her hand and often experiment through making, in particular know her unconventional approach with material.

Local weaver from Guizhou village
Experiece weaver, batik speicalist, tradtionally craft from home. They are located 200km away from the city and live within mountain vilalges. The willingness of craftspeople to take on new approaches to well-established practices demonstrates an exciting collision between generations of tradition, identity and contemporary fashion in China. Through their collaboration, Elaine Ng Yan Ling helped to create a vision for how these cherished skills can be used to create beautiful fabrics for future generations.
